Rust Warranty

  Does anyone know the length of the rust warranty?

  I bought a used '87 4000 (4 cyl) and there is a 
  some slight rust spots.  Someone told me that they thought
  the warranty was 10yr/100K.  Is this right?  And
  would it be honored for non-original owners?

  Anyone have any experience with this situation?
