20V Distributer...
On my '91 90 20VQ, when I got it, (With less than 50K), it had a 'bad'
distributer.... it made this awful rattle. I replaced it with a new one.
And now with 60K on the clock, that little rattle is coming back! Now I
still have the old one, so I would like to get a bearing rebuild on it so
I can put that one in instead of a new one again!
Audi's answer?? On that distributor, the rotor can **NOT** be replaced,
you have to replace the whole damn distributer anyway, so not a problem
with my currently noisy bearing. This may be their answer, but not mine.
Im not going to fork over $400 beans every 6 months!!!
Ideas???? I did learn however that I can get the replacement rotor, but
it isnt pretty.. the original is glued on, and has to be busted off. but
a new one will fit.
Thanks all.
Bob
