Well from the factory is a little different, they have tested it, etc.
also what type of material is it and is it wrapped tightly around the 
exhaust.  Just from my experiance after wrapping a huge difference in the 
amount of heat you could feel and the amount that was staying in the 
exhaust.  It was much cooler around the turbo but the turbo was much 
hotter.  Hey anyway it is your money and your turbo so go for it.> >
