Ah yes....Honda and Audi again...

Guess few people here have owned Hondas and the like of Japanese cars as well
as Audis and similar European makes.

My first new car was a VW Scirocco '79 => 4-SPEED <= **, boy it was a nice car
better looking than the then Accord, maybe just below the almost VW i.e. 924
or the Audi 4000.....oh...I'm off the track....

Anyway, the VW had problems, but not big ones, CV joints, overheat (even with
no a/c), squealing brakes and premature rotor wear......you know the list,
similar to the Audi's.....BUT IT WAS ONE FUN CAR......I had Neuspeeds, Konis,
Big Throats, took the CAT out....and all this making only maybe only around
80hp or so in a package just over 2000 lbs.....

My next new car after the Scirocco, well you've guessed it....an '87 Integra
aka Honda in Acura skin :)....It makes 116 hp stock, just over 2500 lbs or so
goes faster and quicker than the '79 Scirocco (but not the 16V Scirocco in '87)_
Well, you know what, the Integra was kinda boring, it's quick enough, comfortable
on the highway, nice overall package, and *IT'S STILL BORING*....

Oh, here is the kicker, there has not been one thing wrong with the Integra,
the thing was bullet proof, replaced the shocks, tires, battery, but nothing
else. Oh...all this talk about Hondas is putting me to sleep....

OK...next came my wife...then a kid...so I got my wife a '85 5k. You know
what, it had the same problems as my '79 Scirocco....leaking oil, coolant,
transmission, hydraulic oil.....*BUT IT'S an AUDI*....:D...

Then came an accident and the Audi was sent to car heaven, in came an '87 5k.
Yup, the list continued....leaking heater core, hydraulic line leaks, stalls,

Hey...what do you expect from an Audi *wink wink*.....

The wife was tired of having the car stalled out on her....so I got her another
well yes...it's another Audi, same size, same shape, slightly modern interior,
a '91 100. Hey, she's so used to the shape and handling, I think it's safer
that way, besides, couldn't get a car with airbag, ABS, automatic climate
control under $10k not to mention all that room (OK maybe a used Taurus...:)
God...but an Audi is an Audi....now the list builts....bad cold air flap,
spongy brake,.....(I'm keeping my fingers crossed....)

But, this is the first Audi/VW that hasn't leak any kind of fluid...:D...

Now I got tired of hauling our daughter in and out of the backseat of my
2-dr Integra (yes the thing just kept going....and going). So I traded in
for my first used car (god...those new car prices are just out of this world),
nope...not an Audi...but a Saab 9000S. Funny the Audi and the Saab are so
similar, similar interior room, the 9000S is about 10 in. shorter and 20 hp
more than the stock 100. You know what, I think the Audi is a better design.
The only thing nice about the '92 Saab is the engine, most of the part from
the Saab were from Germany, GM,......not much original Saab thing in there...

Oh well, should have gotten that Pearl White 200 instead of the Saab,
silly me......could have had a V-8 ....

Random rambling....
