No Subject



	repeat of SNAKE OIL message that never made it:

	my 5cstq has been off the road for approx 2yrs.  I recently started
peared, or that the crankshaft was just spinning without any pistons attached to it!
y in order for the lifter to bleed down.  
	Conclusion:  as the head (aluminum) cooled down the valve train would remain expanded and would leave the valves open...no compression.
	Solution:  I let the car sit overnight, changed the oil and filter, added a qt. of MARVEL MYSTERY OIL!  
	 the engine started, I let it run a few hours. checked the compression:
all is normal.  the car now starts and run perfectly normally.
	I'M A BELIEVER!
	On the other hand,  too much of a good thing is bad:  i once used two qts. in a Pontiac 6000 with the "iron duke" 2.5L in order to clean oit the crankase of years of gunk.  I didn't make 1 block without spinning a rod bearing!

	THE MORAL OF THE STORY:  USE YOUR SNAKE WISELY!
