Re: Re[4]: New to the list...
These heaters are connected to the power supply for the rear window
defogger elements. When the defogger is on, so are the mirror heaters.
o
o There is no switch for the mirrors; they must be on a timing? relay or
o else on all the time(which I doubt). However, in the winter when the
o mirrors have condensation on them in the morning, shortly after
o starting the car the condensation begins to evaporate in two, nice,
o round patches on the mirrors. Another element in the winter package is
o the headlight washers and maybe? a stronger charging system. Living
o in California, there isn't too much of a need for all of this unless
o in the Sierras skiing.

o How do you turn on the mirror heater? I haven't seen a switch for it, so
o I guess I don't have that either.
o
o Found out something interesting last night though... The seats in my car
o ARE heated seats, they just aren't hooked to anything. I removed the
o drivers seat and there was this connector not connected to anything.
o The manual revealed that it's the heated seat connection... I'll
o probably just leave it, but it's nice to know that if I ever feel the
o need, I can engage 'virgin' heated seat elements. :-)
o
o Makes sense considering it's probably a $10 or $20 item to put the heating
o element in, and they can sell them for hundreds.

o I got gasoline from 7-11 and my car stopped running. New gas, ran fine.
