Heated mirror is turned on with the rear window defrogger.  I think 
all models have them.  Of course, you do have the switch for that.

Heated door lock is different.  For those models that have them, it 
operates based on :
1. Ambient temperature of less than 5 C or 40 F
2. light pull of the door handle will activtate the lock heater, 
provided condition is met.
