No offense to the 4Kq owners, but I second the point.  I had my 4KS for 
about a year and found a mint 60k miles, 4Kq at the dealer's lot.  I had 
thought " Wow, the 5-cylinder is probably a lot faster...and all wheel 
drive too!!"

Big disappointment.  My 4KS would leave it in the weeds until at least 
70-80mph.  The 4KS is geared a bit lower, which is also a benefit for 
auto-x.  For that zippy/pocket-rocket feel, the FWD 4-cyl cars are the 
way to go.  And all of those VW tuners to help the engine...  :)
