80Q power improvements

I would like to know what kind of possibilities 
are out there for improving power/performance
for a 1989 80Q (2.3L 10V). My car goes OK as it
is, but I'm gettin' the itch to make some 
improvements in this area, and since I am goin'
to be takin' apart quite a bit when I do my
timing belt and valve cover gasket, any info
on this would be appreciated.
