Re: 5KCSTQ:hard starting

The problem isn't your idle stabilizer, nor will the idle screw on top of
your intake help. The problem might be in the cold start system, the way
it sounds. Two things to check, 1-check for voltage (12) at the wire
harness for the cold-start valve. 2-possibly the sender for the water
temp is faulty and needs to be replaced. Also, the fuel pressure needs to
be checked. It's poss. it's too high (or too low) and isn't providing the
cis with the proper mixture for start-up. Lastly, although an unlikely
source, replace your O2 sensor if you haven't in the last 30k miles. It
probably won't cause the extreme problem you have, but it may not be helping.
