There is a stamped metal heat shield on the QTC that protects the right 
front CV boot from the heat.  The 5kT probably has the same sort of shield.
I have not had to replace a boot on the car as long as I've had it, but I
can tell that it was replaced at some point in time (since the clamp was
screwed up and grease was sprayed on the strut & brake caliper :( )
