Been there.  I had numerous problems with the pound on (and off) wheel 
weights and have settled on the stick-on type.  They stay on at speed, 
and as long as you don't car wash (pressure spray) them to death, they 
tend to last quite a while.

BTW, I am running the factory (Ronal) spoked alloys.
