Without a doubt, the nut behind the wheel is the most important one on the
car ... even if your car isn't competitive nationally, this shouldn't stop
you from going to the Nationals: it's a lot of fun, the courses tend to be
longer and faster than those you'll see at home, and the BFG "talent show"
is an experience not to be missed...

In 1989, although Steve Brolliar won the Solo II Championship in his Dodge
Shadow, he decided he couldn't win the Pro Solo Finale with it and made a
deal with another competitor to drive his Jeep Comanche Eliminator instead,
thus changing from a FWD car to RWD pickup truck. He drove it once around
the pits before heading taking it out on course, where he narrowly won the
class. Incredible!
