It is possible to do this.  But you don't want to, unless you want to make
the list moderated.  This list works really well because all the members
exercise good judgement and mailing list etiquette -- you get no such
consideration from many newsgroup posters, so you'd have to moderate
to throw out the junk. (I'm assuming here you allow posting back to the
list through the newsgroup)
