That sounds pretty heavy for a Fox ... back in 1989, my 1981 4000 (two-door,
no sunroof) weighed 2054 pounds with 4 gallons of gas in Solo II stock-class
legal trim. My 1985 4000S weighs 2420 pounds with 4 gallons of gas but I am
confident I can get it down to 2200 pounds or so after I finish preparing it
per the SCCA's Street Prepared/IT rules. Back when the Fox was still listed
for ITB, the minimum weight was 1950 pounds and this included a rollcage ...
as such, I'd be surprised if the average Fox weighed much over 2000 pounds.

Too bad about the narrow track width ... otherwise, it would probably make a
better autocross car than the 4000 since you could update it with the knock-
sensor equipped 1.8L engine and get 120-125HP without too much difficulty!
