Hmmmm......  Regarding the headroom on early sciroccos, if you get the S with
the sport seats, you will fit......  My co-driver and navigator tipped the
ruler at 6'6" and drove a 81 scirocco for 4 years with no obvious neck
prollums.......  The 4k would not be bad to race, the cage might be the
deciding factor, altho some of the Prorally rules regarding cages may or may
not include the one you have, you may want to ck with SCCA on that one, I
don't have a current rule book......  I do know that PR is one of the few
bodies that allow triangulation of the cage, in other words you can weld the
cage at more than the 6 common mountings restricted in most other
racing.......  The 90 amp alt should be sufficient to operate the (max 6
forward facing) nite lites, and still leave a little to run the fuel
pump.....  Remember that most of the parts (eng incl) will bolt into either
the 4k or the vw's so you shouldn't encounter many obstacles there......
