For ur-Qs, the difference between Stage I and II is the
reduced amount of retard as a function of boost with
the Stage II. I think a slightly stiffer spring might also
be supplied with Stage II, but the boost cut-off point
in the CPU remains the same, I believe. So, you can
get the extra boost of Stage II by adjusting the WG
to increase the spring tension, but you need the
extra advance of Stage II to get all the extra HP.
It is possible to install a porentiometer in place of
a fixed resistor to allow infinite adjustment of
retard as a function of boost. I plan to do this mod.
