Re: OOOOWWW-D Test Session and time with Bob

LFB:
Left foot braking takes a lot of practice, at least for me.
I've always had it ingrained in my mind that one
*NEVER* uses the left foot on the brake, except
perhaps to cover the brake at low speeds in
parking lots, etc. It's hard to unlearn habits
developed over many years.....

ALIGNMENT:
I have been advised that extra toe-out in front and some toe-in
for the rear will help turn-in and reduce oversteer, respectively.
Be sure you are at MAX negative camber F & R.

FRONT BAR:
I've never had the time/place to play with front sway bars, can't
help you here. All I have ever done is to replace the bushings
with stock parts.

TIRES:
I've done a lot with tire pressures. Running the RSIIs in 205-55-14 I've
had the best success with like 45-48 F and 32-35 R. Radical, but
really dials-out the understeer very effectively. Tires wear
FOREVER on these cars too...... :)

I've been advised to run and had great success with running the
Koins at full stiff R and 3/4 stiff F. The full stiff R is supposed to
help negate the absence of a rear bar and reduce understeer.

The bottom line...lap times: On Sunday I dropped down to a 42.8 second
lap. A full 4 seconds faster than the 2nd fastest H stock car. The
car was really flying. I think a perfect run could have seen a 42.4
.. amazing. The only cars that were faster was one of the Neons, one
of the Camaros, and a couple of Street Prepared and Modified cars. I
beat some of the G stock cars by over a second. these were the same
cars that were beating me badly a few weeks ago.

YES! The bottom line is lap times!

I can smell a national championship brewing ..... anyone want to
contribute to the recipe? I can use all the help I can get. Also, is
there a Quattro list logo I can put on the car?
