Throttle Body hoses

If you put the round hose on the "egg shaped" t-body you put the wrong part
on the car... Sounds to me like you got a non turbo hose for a turbo car.....
 If it worked, you 're lucky, long term you will will prolly have a seal
prollum.....  The turbo hose is expensive, but if you shop it (like Carlsen
Audi), you should be able to get it for around 70.00.....  Not much else you
can do......  The turbo cars need to have no vaccuum leaks or the car will
run lean, and that's a problem.......  Post up to Graydon, he is making a
aeroduct hose that seems to work pretty well......  And is lots cheaper than
the factory....
