Re: Power seat memory/switch bulbs.

I don't recall seeing a procedure in the Bentley for this. What problem
are you dealing with? My seats seem to work intermittantly at times.
There seem to be a number of relays in the controller under the seat ...
probably there's a flaky one in there.

Nope ... sorry about that!

They are LEDs ... There is some very interesting 3-D circuitry inside
those babies! IME it is difficult/impossible to disassemble the switch
in a way that is completely reversible. I ended up cutting the side out
of my faulty swiches to clean up the contacts and return them to proper
operation. If you cut the blue plastic along the edges you can bend them
back like a flap to access the guts of the switch and then fold it back up
when you're done. (I posted a procedure on this some time back ... if
you'd like I can see if I have it in my archives somewhere) A similar
procedure should allow you to find the loose connection inside for the
LED and repair it. I've been considering adding capacitors to eliminate
the arcing that causes the contacts to be oxidized (has anyone else done
anything like that?)
