(Hey!) Watch it. I resemble those remarks ;^) (Both of them). That's why
I'm here.
I see a lot of overlap and cross-contribution in the camps you attempting to
bin.
I'm echo'ing previous posts- I'm interested in most postings, and most of
the extra email can be fixed with good posting practices. If I didn't get
all the traffic on this list, I wouldn't know all the detailed "things" I
would want to do with a quattro turbo. One thing 'fer sure- when I get
one, it won't stay "regular".
In the meantime, I'm mostly in category #2, with my trusty (knock-knock)

I got one. If people want to slice this way, maybe write a parser for the
digest/archive and filter (out) by using something like a "Subject: RACE:"
convention. The point being that the individuals can run
sifting/post-processing tools that taylor to their preferences. This is
assumming there's no great consensus (or Dan's position on all this) to
change from what we're doing now.
When the masses really get on the "info highway", there's going to be more
chances to get more email. Gotta get good at sifting to go for that high
needle/hay ratio. But someone else's needle is ...
