More on the heavy understeer I had at last weekend's race:
While installing new front rotors and calipers in preparation
for running at NHIS this Staurday, I noticed the nice, shiny
new front swaybar bushings I had installed some months
ago. I now occours to me that the heavy understeer I had
last weekend might have been due to the new swaybar
bushings, 'cause understeer has not really been a
problem since I sorted out the pressures, struts and
alignment. Morale: if you are having problems with
heavy understeer you might want to experiment with
disconnecting/removing the front sway bar.
(you cannot add a rear bar in SCCA Stock classes
but front bars are free)
