I have read reviews in Auto Motor und Sport 
(Germany), Quattroruote (Italy), and CAR (UK)
and the A is being praised with the highest of 
accolades.

I have just returned from a long trip in Europe and it 
is selling like hot cakes.  The 1.8 T has only 155 PS
but a flat torque curve, and ABT has a mod to get 240 
PS from that puppy.

For North America, the 2.8 V6 5 Valve will be with 192 
PS, and should make the A4 scream.  The advantage of 
the 1.8T is better weight distribution, good 
fuel consumption, and an overall efficient package.
