Re: Ignition computer woes




Paul,
I've had the same problem with my Ur-q (which I unfortunately no longer own)
when retiming the engine. I also suspected the computer, however, it 
turned out to be fine. It seems that the urq computer will cut voltage to 
the coil if the distributor pickup is not timed correctly with the 
flywheel pickups. I couldnt figure out why I had no spark, but it turned 
out that the car was not exactly timed. I also had the official factory 
manual but it still took a great deal of trial and error to get the car 
to run. I've done it twice but I don't think I could get it right the 
first time even with the manuals.
