that's an easy one..  they screwed up.  a few lucky customers (like me)
got them replaced for free.  did you ever hear the stories of how germany
lost the war?  one of the things they did was all these fancy schmancy
stuff to their tiger tanks and thus suffered a lot of breakdowns and part
incompatibilities..  but they had the most advanced weapons of the war by
far...
