I only mentioned that out of sheer curiosity - haven't been into my 
'58 in a while.  Talk about NON-technical!!!  As I recall, the 
thermostat is in a std. inlet-on-the-head-where-the-hose-attaches 
configuration (like my 280ZX....) but not in the hose itself.
