Brake rotors

I am looking for some wisdom on the subject of brake rotors.
My '92 100 needs new front pads. When I went to replace the pads, I
measured the rotor thickness. It was slightly less then .9". The
service fiche says .9 is wear limit. The rotors are in excellent
shape, not warped (no pulsation). Should I replace them (this could
be big bucks, as the dealer might be the only source ~$100 each), or
should I just change the pads and wait for the rotors to warp? What
do I risk other than warpage with rotors worn beyond documented wear
     limit?

     Thanks for any advice,
     marat
