Audi books & videos
Audi books and videos seem to be hard to come by. At least in the Classic
Motorbooks catalog. Does anyone have a line on sellers of Audi related stuff?
Saw a profile on the new S6 on MotorWeek last weekend on WGN - pretty
impressive! If you missed it you might catch it if it's rerun. Also, keep on
the lookout for a series on ESPN called "Secrets of Speed" that was on a
while back (last year?). They did a program called "Speed on the Autobahn"
that was way cool. I think the show was originally done in '91 and features
Hans Stuck behind the wheel of an Audi V8 on the Autobahn driving 270 KPH
talking about about German cars and their engineering. Also has cool clips
from the DTM featuring shots of the '90 series winning Audis, and some
rallying featuring airborn Ur Quattros.
I recently joined the group and enjoy reading the postings form other Audi
enthusiasts. I've had 2 Audis and understand the joy AND frustration of
ownership. I bought my 1st in '88 (a '78 100LS) when I was in Germany. My 2nd
and present (an '88 5KS) was bought here in the U.S. in '93.
