EXACTLY the same thing happened a few months ago to my 875KCSTQ.  After 
considering several possible fixes, including machining a metal tube that 
would just fit into the plastic pipe, and gluing the plastic pipe parts to 
the metal tube, I just clamped the upper hose to the remaining 1-1/2 inch 
length of plastic pipe, and have been running it that way ever since.  The 
cause of it blowing off in the first place was a defective thermal fan 
switch, which allowed the coolant in the system to come to a boil, and the 
plastic pipe was the weakest link in the system.
