I had to deal with that funky antenna cable in my 4000sq.  Like the
man said, *tiny* inner conductor.  Anybody know what's the purpose of
having a cable like that?  (I hope it's not for "weight saving" :-)

Mine had broken the center conductor down about 6" from the connector
to the radio.  It was a real bear to solder everything back together
without breaking it again.  Why not use just regular coax?
