You should read some of the past archives.
I can tell you from personal experience, TAP is selling a stronger
spring with a circuit in the ECU to defeat the overboost protection.
They put their sticky label on the chip, but it's unchanged.
IA is supposed to be the hot ticket, with a price that goes with it.
If you want to go the cheap way, I'm going to make another batch of
wastegate springs in about a week, and can also show you how to defeat
the overboost circuit (without opening the ECU). I've also got a plan
to make some adjustable electronic overboost protection gizmos, but that
will be a little further down the road. If you are interested in a new
stronger spring for $20 post paid, send me an email.
