	Didn't try it with the officer, but I confess that the thought did
	cross my mind as a possible line of defense at traffic court when
	I got the first ticket of my life last month. I quickly dismissed
	it as unworthy of an Audi enthusiast (some inexplicably say "sucker":
	did any of you ever understand why? :-)), besides being an outright
	lie, but I think you'd have a fighting chance if you claimed your
	car was exhibiting the classic symptoms of unintended acceleration.
	You could probably dredge up s**tloads of documents to bolster your
	case ...

	But I just forked over the moolah and am waiting to go to traffic
	school ...  At least I'll die knowing I didn't besmirch fellow
	engineers for filthy lucre (You know, that sounds like a good
	line for an epitaph :-))
