4000 5+5 questions...

According to the SCCA's Improved Touring rulebook, the 4000 5+5 was offered
from 1981 through 1983 (or at least these are the years for which it's been
formally classified to run in ITB).  Yet, the only info I can find about it
tends to suggest that '80/'81 were the only years it was produced ... since
updating/backdating cars is permitted, I'd like to know what I'm missing!

Also, I'd like to know in which year the Coupe first got a revised Type 093
gearbox with a 4.90 final-drive ... around here, the salvage yards keep 'em
sorted by year and model not code letters so it would make it easier for me
to get my hands on one if I knew exactly what I was looking for.  There was
also a 5.22 final-drive available in europe that might prove useful if hard
to find in this country...
