Re: Allstate Insurance

Hairy green toads from Mars made AUDIDUDI@delphi.com say:

100% agreed. I've been with Allstate for years, and have been delighted
with their service.

When my car was broken into for the stereo, they Fedex'd me a new one,
and told me to get it installed wherever I wanted and send them the bill.
The body damage was handled by me dropping it off at my favorite shop and
giving them a check for the deductible.

Angela's pearl-white 90Q20V, which had a close encounter with the roof of
the garage, can be fixed anywhere we want. If it's a listed shop, they'll
insure the work for the life of the car, and pay to have it redone as
often as needed.

Recently, I hit a paving cliff at 70 (OK, 80...) and roached my tires,
wheels, and ABS. They fixed it all, sent me a check that day, and even
got it written up as "comprehensive", not "collision", saving me $450.

On the other hand, my then-fiancee Angela was rear-ended at a stop by
a state farm client. They admitted full responsibility, but haven't paid
medical bills from last july (13.5 months). Their settlement offer was an
insult, and we now have a lawyer suing State Farm (not their insured)
over this gross mishandling.
