'90 200T Brake Light

The brake warning light on the dash now lights up for a few seconds whenever 
the car is started. This is not the light for the hand brake-that is a 
different light. My guess is that there may be something wrong with the 
hydralic system pressure accumulator because after a few seconds the light 
goes off and braking is otherwise normal. While the light is on, there is 
reduced braking assist.

Assuming my guess is correct, has anyone ever replaced the accumulator? Any 
hints?
