Last time it was done was shortly after I bought the car, and I had it done by
a real competent mechanic.  Haven't decided if I wanna try it myself yet, the
guy said he found a joint in my rear driveshaft that looked like it hadn't seen
grease since it rolled out of Germany in late '86, apparently there's a lot of
nooks & crannies in that driveline that most mechanics overlook, and my car was
serviced exclusively by the local Audi dealership (untill I bought it that is.
 This local dealership wanted to put in a new transmision/transfer case, I took
it to another shop, they replaced my catalytic converter and my "transmission"
problem was fixed.)
