I have had a 90q20v 1990 for 2 years with really no problems. 164hp is correct, 
could use a little more. Rear diff seals, front bushings, alt brushes, have been 
the only out of the ordinary. I love the car and am looking for another one, or 
an S4. Current mileage, 90k. I never drove a 4000, but have driven a 5000TQ. I 
prefer the 90. The only short coming seems the be interior room, tight like a 3 
series BMW.
I've smoked a Grand National in a staight, and even had a liitle more.......
