Re: QTC: ABT Gauge Extensions



Not true about the ABT gauge part (at least the one that is in my car).  

The part is really an Audi supplied unit that was first intended for 
taxis.  The gauge areas sits on top of the dash, not in the cold air vent 
hole.

The only down-side to the ABT instrument cluster cover/gauge holder (or 
taxi meter holder) is that it takes up space on the top of the dash that 
was formally open.  I like the open feel (reminds me of the same open 
feel of a 914 or 911.  I like to know what's happen oil-pressure wise a 
bit more than the alternative so I have left the ABT unit on.
