I thought this might be my problem, but I'm quite sure now that it isn't.
First off, I have replaced the clutch, throwout bearing, master and slave
cylinders with no real change (fortunately this problem's not the reason I
changed them).
Also, after it becomes stiff to shift, I can still engage 1st, then hold
the clutch in and shift back into neutral. After some time, never having
released the clutch, it will go right back into 1st with no sound or feel
of transmission teeth meeting. If the clutch is slightly engaged, it
should start the input shaft moving but doesn't seem to. On my car, it
feels as if the shift linkage itself starts binding with the heat.
