How to flush coolant in URQ?

Grettings all - I've started putting in one of those "only three in the
U.S. stage VIII" RS2 turbos into my URQ.  Since it's a water cooled turbo,
you need to remove a freeze plug to plumb one of the water lines.  That
freeze plug was a *MAJOR BITCH* to get out, and I'm worried I might have
dropped a few metal shavings into the water jacket in doing so. 

Question is, do I even worry about the possible metal particles, and if
so, methods of removal?  I was thinking of removing the thermostat and H2O
pump and flushing water through the block... a powerful magnet located in
some strategic position was another idea.  Thoughts anyone???
