Re: Valve Cover Gasket Leaks again:'86 Coupe GT (2.2 5 cylinder)



Sometimes the bolts holding down the valve cover loosen over time.
Check and snug them up (don't overtighten)  and see if the leak stops.
Otherwise, the sealing surface on the head may be scratched or scored
causing the leak. If this is the case, you can smooth out a not-so-deep
scratch with emery paper, or apply some RTV sealant in that area.

I have had good results with the neoprene gasket.
