"the blend" I assume is Valvoline Duroblend.  It's half dino and half 
syth.  Now why pay more money for half of the advantages?

I've had the 4KS for almost 3 years now, with about 50K accumulating over 
that time.  I have *never* replaced the drain plug gasket, and it doesn't 
leak at all.  I feel that they're a "inspect and re-use" item.
