I will add my two cents into this metal bending subject.

I have an 1982 4000S Diesel and it is doing well for its age.  Rust has
started in the doors and door jam area about 4 or 5 years ago.  Fenders
are doing well for being nicked my stones and sorts but they are starting
to rust/ bubble-up near the trim on the body.

BTW:  I have a windshield that is starting to turn blue around the edges. 
Is there a technical term for it turning blue.
