FWD vs. Quattro

I recently purchased a 1992 Audi 100S with FWD, not quattro. I am looking for
input from quattro owners as to what I am missing. I've heard that the
quattro option is "the greatest thing since sliced bread". How good is it
really? I enjoy my car and think it is Germany's best kept secret here in the
U.S. (although they are starting to get noticed). I've been thinking that my
next vehicle will be a quattro. Please shed some light on the subject.
