Which says to me that it's not the head that's causing the problem.
Something about the PC board? Or the wiring between there and the sender or
the sender itself. They ain't a whole lot else is there? Maybe something
loose inside the cable connector?
Mine shouldn't be the sender. It's been replaced (several times now, actually).
I didn't masnage to get to mine today (Friday). I'll see if I can manage to
get into it tomorrow AM.
I plan to pull it out and check continuity between the traces on the board
and the connectors for the head. If there's any indication of problems I'll
solder in some jumpers and see what happens.
God I'm getting tired of this.
Oh - Bentleys - I don't have the Bentley manual for my car. Steve, if I
remember so many months ago, did you fax me something on this? Let's see -
it's coming back slowly to my feeble mind. It was a copy of an earlier
(like maybe an '87?) system wasn't it? I'll search my desk near the bottom
of one of the stacks of unfinished paperwork and see if I can find it next week.
Bob
