Car care a-la Meguires (as an offering)

In an attempt to entice the Audi God to exorcize the shakey
demon from my front suspension, I spent the better part of
the weekend cleaning, washing, rubbing and otherwise fawning
over my 90CS. I thought I'd pass on a couple of things...

I'd been meening to clean/protect the leather for a while
and finnaly got around to it. I remember several people
mentioning a product called "Hide Food". Wasn't able to find
it, nor anyone who'd hear of it. So, I picked up some Meguire's
Medallion. Having hear good things about them, I figured what the
hey.

I'm happy to report that it works very well indeed. With little
scrubbing, it cleaned the gray/brown haze off the side bolsters
and seat (the leather is "platinum"). It left everything very
smooth and supple, and very natural feeling. Not at all greasy.
I was even able to use it on the leather-wrapped wheel and
gear shift (and I can still grip them both!). I'd recommend
Medallion highly. We'll have to see how it does for protection...

I also picked up some Meguire's #2 "Fine Cut Cleaner", to
remove the growing number of scuffs and light scratches. It
worked like a charm on the scuffs in the door-handle recess
and sundry other scrapes (especially the type where the paint
wan't damaged so much as marked by some one else's paint).

P.S. The elbow grease apparently did not appease anyone, as
things are still shaking in the front end... :-(
