Dont know about 100 V6s, but my '87 4KCSQ has had the front rotors turned 
twice and the rears once.  The next time the front needs brakes I will 
need new rotors because they are only about .005 above factory minimums.

Unless soeone out there knows more about this than I do--a very distinct 
possibility--I'd say the tire shop guy is trying to take your required 
monthly allocation to the Audi gods.
