..... And I have been making that recommendation for a year, but.........
The wrap does not assure that under hi-spikes you will not lose the end
caps...... I actually had the caps pop with the whole thing strapped.....
What happens is, the aluminum clamps and rail actually bend to the point
where they will let go around the IC end caps, but the end cap will stay
on...... The pop off valve SHOULD be the ticket..... I have it installed
right at the inlet of the turbo side, and tho it farts pretty regularly, I
think maybe the diaphram might have lodged itself askew with all the spikes I
gave it at the track....... OR, I could be running SOO much flow out of the
turbo that the valve doesn't flow enough air fast enough........ Maybe two
flatulizers might do the trick........ Nice to see one of my mods
rerecommended to me tho........ I'd still ck that IC for oil seepage (and if
you are running 22psi, you better get a pop off valve), even if you have done
the strap trick..... NJTH
How did you measure 22psi? Are you sure on that? I have a 3in exh and mucho
mods and the most I ever got was 20psi, and really beyond 18 the gains are
minimal on a stock engine....... The IC IS YOUR RESTRICTION (read: HEAT) at
anything above 18psi
