New Car Care
Greetings All:
This might sound like a naive question but here goes...... I am about to
take delivery of a brand new Audi A4 Quattro (my first Audi and my first new
car in 10 years) and I am curious as to what is the best way of protecting
the damn thing from rusting. Specifically:
1. Is it better to wax the car with a traditional wax, wax the car with
something like durashine or not wax the car given that it comes with a 10
year rust PERFORATION warranty! I hate the use of the word perforation!
2. Assuming that I should wax the car, when is it best to do so and how
many times per annum? For example, if I wax the car immediately on
delivery, do I run the risk of damaging/removeing the clearcoat as the car
will have just been buffed from its ocean voyage.
3. Assuming that I should wax the car, what wax is best?
Sorry for asking such a dumb question but alas... my knowledge of cars is
limited. Hopefully it will improve as I follow the postings!
TIA,
Joel
