Re: Timing belt Changes

Well, from all your experience.. have you heard anything about the V6 engine?
I have the 2.8 V6 in my '92 100S, and I am getting a bit anxious listening to
ya' all talk about timing belt changes. I have 64k miles on my car.... is it
almost time? The dealer said I could go to 90k miles before changing it.
Anyone agree with this? Anyone out there with a V6 that has had theirs
changed? And does anyone know if this is an interference engine? I was told
that this V6 was based upon (has a similar design as?) the V8. If that is
the case, I would guess it is an interference engine.
Any help would be appreciated. I would rather "pay them now, and not later"
and have the belt done at the right time so as to avoid an expensive
disaster.
TIA
Jim
